Personal and non-personal information
We collect two categories of information: personal information that identifies you (name, email address, phone number, billing address, payment card details processed by our payment provider, health information you choose to share for training), and non-personal information that does not identify you on its own (browser type, device type, anonymous usage patterns).
We collect personal information only when you give it to us. You give it to us when you submit a form on this site, schedule a Studio Visit, sign a membership agreement, communicate with us by email, phone, or SMS, or pay for services.
2
What is non-personal information and how is it collected and used?
Non-personal information includes data such as your browser, operating system, IP address, referring website, time spent on pages, and the routes you take through the site. Our hosting provider and analytics tools collect this automatically. We use it to understand which pages are useful, find broken links, and improve the site.
Non-personal information cannot identify you on its own. If we combine non-personal information with personal information that does identify you, the combined record is treated as personal information.
3
Cookies and similar technologies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies (such as pixels and tags) for three purposes:
- Operations. So forms remember what you typed, so logged-in pages stay logged in, so the site functions.
- Analytics. So we can see anonymous patterns of usage and improve the site. We use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
- Marketing. If you came to us through an ad, the ad network may set cookies to measure whether the ad worked. We use Google Ads and may use Meta (Facebook/Instagram) pixels.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may break some site functionality.
4
How we use personal information
We use the personal information you give us to:
- Respond to your application, schedule your Studio Visit, and confirm your membership.
- Operate your membership: bill you, schedule sessions, manage holds and cancellations.
- Communicate with you about your training, your account, and operational changes (holiday closures, schedule adjustments).
- Send occasional educational and marketing communications, which you can opt out of at any time.
- Comply with applicable law and our membership agreement with you.
5
Sharing with third parties
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with vendors who help us run the studio, and only to the extent needed for them to do that work. Our vendors include:
- Payment processor to handle credit card transactions securely. We do not store full card numbers ourselves.
- CRM and member management system (Gym Lead Machine and Kilo) to manage contacts, sessions, and conversations.
- Email and SMS providers to deliver transactional and marketing messages.
- Hosting and analytics providers to operate and improve the site.
Each of these vendors is contractually required to protect your information and use it only for the purpose we engaged them.
We may also disclose information when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Anchor Training Club, our members, or others.
6
Communications
We use your contact information to communicate with you. Transactional messages (confirmations, schedule notes, billing receipts) cannot be opted out of while your membership is active because they are required to operate the service. Marketing messages can be opted out of at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or by replying STOP to any marketing SMS.
7
How we secure information
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information: encryption in transit (TLS) for the website, access controls on our systems, and contractual security obligations from our vendors. No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a data breach affecting your information, we will notify you and take remedial action as required by applicable law.
8
Links to other sites
Our site contains links to third-party sites (for example, our scheduling and member-management providers). Once you click through to those sites, your information is governed by their privacy policies, not ours.
9
Public discussions
If we host any public discussion areas (testimonial walls, social media posts you tag us in), anything you post in those areas can be read, collected, or used by others. Use discretion. We are not responsible for information you choose to disclose publicly.
10
How a user can access, change, or delete personal information
To request access to the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or request deletion, contact us at hello@anchortrainingclub.com. We respond within a reasonable timeframe. Some information must be retained to comply with legal, accounting, or contractual obligations (membership records, billing records).
11
